Time for Change

So the time to move on is here and now.
From using and learning with a Point and Shoot, It's time to move on to the next level.

I got myself a Canon EOS 550D with the 18-55mm IS and 55-250mm IS Lenses

So from now on the pictures posted on this blog may consist of either the Canon Point and Shoot (IXUS 105) or the Canon DSLR. I will try to remember and post the equipment using which the picture was taken.

As with any new Equipment, I assume I am going to have a Steep Learning Curve with the new DLSR... so please be gentle.

Below picture is one of the first one's I took using the new DSLR

Vivid Sydney Opera House

Lots and lots of people have been complaining that I am in Sydney and don't post pictures of the Iconic Opera House,

So once and for all. There you go , a look at the Opera House which you don't get to see often

These pictures were taken during the Vivid Sydney Festival when the buildings of Sydney are themselves converted to enchanting art works by light and music displays

The Ever-changing Colors

The different Shades of Uluru/Ayers Rock over a Sunset in Northern Territory (Australia)

According to the Aṉangu, traditional landowners of Uluru

The world was once a featureless place.
None of the places we know existed until creator beings, in the forms of people, plants and animals, traveled widely across the land.
Then, in a process of creation and destruction, they formed the landscape as we know it today.

Uluru was built up during the creation period by two boys who played in the mud after rain.

Engage Warp Speed

To Infinity and Beyond....

The old Algebuckina railway bridge is the longest in South Australia at 578 metres and crosses the Neales River.

This river is the longest watercourse on the Oodnadatta Track.

Originally built for the Murray River and imported in sections from the UK.
When it was realised that it was too short for the original destination it was then erected at Algebuckina.

The bridge is made up of ninteen 30.9 metre spans. It was officialy opened for traffic in Janary 1892. The bridge was strengthened to hold heavier traffic in 1926.

Yes, Those are real Bullet Holes
